Sonoma Raceway Wants you to Drag Race the Police

The summer heat is approaching, kids and adults alike will be hitting the street with their cars looking to go fast. For the 23rd consecutive year, Northern California high school students get to stick it to the man. Sonoma Raceway is calling out to all Bay Area high school students to come down to the drag strip and race local police as a part of it’s Top the Cops Program. At $25 or $15 with a high school ID, students can have a blasting tearing down the strip against local PD.

This is an excellent entry point for the first time drag racer. The thrill of competing against the police force is second to none, especially when it’s completely safe and legal!  The success of the program is proven as it enters it’s 23rd overall season; giving everyone the chance to test and tune their cars on the track. In addition to the Top the Cops Program, please take advantage of the NHRA Street Legal and Junior Street programs. Both initiatives are additional low cost entry points for adults and children; and help reduce illegal street racing.
